Bike and Spa in Velingrad

This "Active Weekend" program is designed to give you the opportunity to explore the northwestern part of the Rhodope Mountains and combine it with the relaxation of the mineral water in Velingrad.

Day 1. (Friday) Bus transfer Sofia - Velingrad. Accommodation in spa hotel.

Day 2. (Saturday) Today we are going to ride in the Valley of Lepenitsa River as we may opt for a visit of the cave with the same name. We'll climb up to areas of Removo and Brezi nicely located at an altitude of 1350 m above the sea where we can have picnic lunch. The rest of the trip is downhill and a lot of fun.

Total distance: 33 km / 550 m up / 550 m down
Terrain: asphalt and forest roads and single tacks

Day 3. (Sunday) We will start the day with a short transfer to the main ridge in western direction where we will get on the bikes and ride atop of the ridge, provided with nice views. From Alabashka Polyana we will start descending towards Belovo. A well preserved "basilica church" may be visited on the way. Our ride ends in Belovo where we get on the bus to transfer back to Sofia.
