The Bulgarian Nature

Bulgaria is famous as one of last wild corners of Europe. Situated on a crossroad where different climates and geographical conditions interfere the Bulgarian nature is known for its diversity and richness. Here about 2/3 of the European high plant species are presented as well as rich bird life along the major migratory roads "Via Pontica" and "Via Ignatia" where more than 110 bird species can be observed two times each year. In the woods of the Bulgarian mountains all big mammals like the brown bear, wolf, deer and wild boar can be seen.

This is what makes the Bulgarian Nature so special for us and motivate us to work towards its preservation. Developing mountain biking and eco tourism with the priority of nature preservation is a key stone in our policy.

To give our bit in the campaign for the preservation of the Bulgarian Nature together with the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation we have developed "Fund for Sustainable Use of the Protected Areas in the Rhodope Mountains". Trough this financial tool we aim to accumulate funding from mountain bikers visiting the region of the Rhodope Mountains which than will be used for nature protection initiatives related with the protected areas in the region.
