Bike Events '08
Thasos Island - GreeceFor third consequent year BIKEAREA organizes a bike trip to the greek island of Thasos. This event combines the opportunity to hit the mud on the island roads and even to participate in a local endurance competition called MTB Thasos Cup. More information about the competition and the island you may get at www.mtb-thassos.com. We are going to help with organization of transportation, accomodation, guides and advises. The Rhodopean Bike CentersFro June till July BIKEAREA is going to organise a series of events in the rhodopean towns of Madjarovo, Trigrad and Velingrad in order to promote the possibilities for biking in this regions and help them develop bike routes in their surroundings. This part of our efforts to create a network of bike centers in the Rhodope Mountains and link them with the so called "Trans Rhodopean Trail". During the events we will organise a camp near each village and different groups will explore the vicinity and collect information about the opportunities in the region. Dates: Madjarovo 13 - 15 June
